Covid-19 Service & Meeting Update

As covid19 precautions and meeting restrictions are now lifting, the number of people attending church at one time is no longer restricted

We are still encouraging everyone attending  services to wear a face mask whilst in church.

Communion is once again offered with bread and wine. Communicants can decide whether to take one or both elements. The wine is offered from a single chalice, so if you prefer not to take wine at this time this is not a problem and you can still receive the bread.

Baptisms, Weddings and Funerals are taking place again as normal by arrangement with the Rector.

Presently fellowship groups are meeting in St Patrick’s Parochial Hall during the week, but as the situation is constantly changing, please contact the Rector or see the latest Church Matters Parish Magazine or Church Facebook page for up to date information on meetings and services.

Contact the Rector Mark Taylor, on 028 9337 3300 or 077 1961 9286 or email for more information on services.

Weekly Activities

Regular weekly, fortnightly & monthly activities to join in.

Circus Skills

Weekly on Tuesday 10.30am

The circus skills Group meets in St Patrick’s Parochial Hall each Tuesday from 10.30am-12md with an average of 14 members per week.

The session begins with gentle warm-up exercises progressing to a group activity which involves passing or throwing items such as balls, hats or rings across and around a circle. There may be 8 or more items on the go at any one time. It helps if you concentrate, but dropping things causes more laughter and picking them up helps with exercise. After coffee and biscuits with time for a chat and catch-up we progress to improving our individual skills, using a variety of small objects such as hats, balls, sticks, diablo or rings. Some even try stilt walking. Overall, it is a morning of fun, laughter and a great sense of achievement if you succeed at a task.

If you would like to try this, just come to St Patrick’s Parochial Hall any Tuesday morning at 10.30am or contact the Rector.

Indoor Bowling

Weekly on Tuesday 7.00pm

The Indoor Bowling Club meets every Tuesday from 7pm- 10pm in St Patrick’s Parochial Hall. On average 20 members attend, however new members are always very welcome to come along and join in.

Friendly competitions take pace regularly and no previous bowling experience necessary.

A refreshment break is held midway through the evening, which allows everyone to catch up and get better acquainted.

Contact Valerie Ash Club Secretary if you would like to join the club. Email

House Group

Fortnightly on Monday 7.30pm & currently in the Boucher Room

You are warmly invited to come and join our ‘House Group’ which meets for an hour on the second and fourth Monday evening of each month normally at 7.30pm via Zoom during lockdown or at a member’s home or in St Patrick’s Parochial Hall when social distancing still required.

Our House Group offers the opportunity to meet with others in a relaxed and informal setting. Over recent times we have read a variety of faith related books and spend time discussing these. We also regularly take a book of the Bible and study it by chapters to get a better understanding of scriptures.

Everyone has a chance to express their opinion and more often than not there are no “wrong” answers.

We are always happy to have new members and you would be very welcome to come along. If you would like to join, please contact Jeni McAughey on, or contact the Rector.c

Book Club

Monthly on Wednesday 7.30pm & currently in the Parochial Hall

Monthly meeting via zoom during lockdown or meeting in St Patricks Parochial Hall on the last Wednesday evening of the month at 7.30pm for one hour.

We take it in turns to pick a new book to read each month and to discuss it at the following meeting. We have had read a great variety of books over the years and enjoyed a lot of lively discussion. New members are very welcome as you will bring new ideas about books!

If you would like to join our Book Club, please contact Jeni McAughey on, or contact the Rector.

Contemplative Prayer Group

Monthly on Tuesday 7.30pm

Our Contemplative Prayer group meets on the third Tuesday of each month at 7.30pm in the Boucher Room at St Patrick’s Parochial Hall. This is a time of silent prayer with members taking it in turns to lead a short reflection to guide our prayers. We are very happy to have new members and you would be very welcome to come and share with us.
