Circus Skills

Weekly on Tuesday 10.30am

The circus skills Group meets in St Patrick’s Parochial Hall each Tuesday from 10.30am-12md with an average of 14 members per week.

The session begins with gentle warm-up exercises progressing to a group activity which involves passing or throwing items such as balls, hats or rings across and around a circle. There may be 8 or more items on the go at any one time. It helps if you concentrate, but dropping things causes more laughter and picking them up helps with exercise. After coffee and biscuits with time for a chat and catch-up we progress to improving our individual skills, using a variety of small objects such as hats, balls, sticks, diablo or rings. Some even try stilt walking. Overall, it is a morning of fun, laughter and a great sense of achievement if you succeed at a task.

If you would like to try this, just come to St Patrick’s Parochial Hall any Tuesday morning at 10.30am or contact the Rector mark205@btinternet.com.

Indoor Bowling

Weekly on Tuesday 7.00pm

The Indoor Bowling Club meets every Tuesday from 7pm- 10pm in St Patrick’s Parochial Hall. On average 20 members attend, however new members are always very welcome to come along and join in.

Friendly competitions take pace regularly and no previous bowling experience necessary.

A refreshment break is held midway through the evening, which allows everyone to catch up and get better acquainted.

Together In Faith Group
(Formerly known as the House Group)

Fortnightly on Monday 7.30pm

You are warmly invited to come and join our ‘Together In Faith Group’ which meets for an hour on the second and fourth Monday evening of each month normally at 7.30pm in the Boucher Room in St Patrick’s Parochial Hall

Our ‘Together In Faith Group’ offers the opportunity to meet with others in a relaxed and informal setting. Over recent times we have read a variety of faith related books and spend time discussing these. We also regularly take a book of the Bible and study it by chapters to get a better understanding of scriptures.

Everyone has a chance to express their opinion and more often than not there are no “wrong” answers.

We are always happy to have new members and you would be made most welcome.  If you would like to join, please contact Jo Pawson via email joanna_pawson@yahoo.co.uk or contact the Rector on mark205@btinternet.com
