This service follows Holy Communion 1, the older form of the Communion service. There are no hymns and a shorter sermon.
On the first Sunday of each month, this is normally a Holy Communion Service.
Tea/coffee and biscuits are served in the Parochial Hall beside the church after the service, which offers a great opportunity to catch up and meet new people.
Children are invited after the opening hymn in church to go and join Sunday School which is known as ‘Kidz Zone’ and is held in the Parochial Hall beside the church.
‘Kidz Zone’ is our Parish Sunday School for children of primary education age. We meet during term time to learn about stories from the Bible and what it means to be a follower of Jesus. Activities include Bible reading, prayer, games, songs, crafts and lots of fun things.
You can find up to date details and themes in our monthly ‘Church Matters’ Parish Magazine.
Messy Church (Every three to four months)
Messy Church is held at 10.30am in St Patrick’s Parochial Hall, Edward Road, instead of St Patrick’s Church, on a Sunday, usually once every three to four months during school term time and replaces the regular morning worship service that day.
Messy Church is open to all family groups with Pre-school/Primary age children. Babies and Toddlers are most welcome with their family group too. This informal and relaxed child-centred meeting encourages learning through the use of Bible stories, craftwork, songs, prayers, games, food and fellowship. Usually, the morning concludes with a tasty brunch of bacon and sausage butties.
Children and adults all welcome.
You can find future dates and themes on our Parish Facebook page, Church Matters Parish Magazine and Church Notice Board.
7.00pm Evening Worship
